EXECUTIVE TEAM

SUZANNE BRIXEY, MD
Executive Director

Suzanne is excited to lead this partnership focusing on the needs of children across the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a pediatrician for the past two decades, she has worked in both academic and community-based settings, including an urban central city clinic, a suburban practice and a rural Federally Qualified Health Center. These diverse experiences make her uniquely qualified to bring care teams together across the state in a process that leads with the needs of the children they serve. She is a passionate advocate for the transformations that take place within a patient-centered medical home. As the CHKD Medical Director of Accountable Care and the previous co-Chief Medical Officer of Fortify Children’s Health, she identifies unique opportunities to help those who care for children to define ways to increase the value and quality for children’s health care. She believes great physicians working in collaboration are the key to improving the health of our communities and meeting the needs of children and their families.
